Physical Education

Kindergarten objectives are to improve on body movement, to develop basic skills and to foster positive interaction in a group setting. Activities include organized games, physical fitness, ball handling, partner activities, and locomotor skills.

First grade objectives are to introduce activities into the set routine, top improve coordination and to build self-esteem. Activities include organized games, jump ropes, soccer, physical fitness, ball handling, tumbling, and track.

Second grade objectives are to work on improving skills previously developed, to build self-esteem, to work on peer cooperation, and to foster positive interaction in a team setting. Activities include organized games, jump ropes, soccer, physical fitness, ball handling, basketball, tumbling, track, and kickball.

Third grade objectives are to expose the students to individual and team sports and to extend and refine the skills that have already been developed. Activities include organized games, soccer, football, physical fitness, jump ropes, ball handling, basketball, tumbling, floor hockey, and volleyball.

Fourth grade objectives are to continue to refine the students' involvement in individual and team sports, to refine the skills that have already been attained, and to understand and follow game rules. Activities include organized games, soccer, football, physical fitness, jump ropes, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, kickball, softball, and track.

Fifth grade objectives are to refine students' participation in team sports, to foster peer cooperation, and to learn to create rules in activities, as well as to follow established rules. Activities include organized games, soccer, football, physical fitness, jump ropes, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, kickball, softball, and track.
