Dear Parents,

Welcome to Wheatland Elementary School.

One of our primary goals is establishing strong working relationships with our students, parents and the broader school community. Ongoing, open communication is an essential component in developing our partnership and mutually ensuring an optimal educational experience for our children. Please help foster this partnership by attending school functions and monitoring your child's homework and progress. Please call if you have questions or comments. Please consider serving as a volunteer. Parents are welcome, and volunteers are valued.

This handbook is intended as a statement of policy and to serve as a reference tool. While the general content is written for parents, specific information relevant to your student's daily routine is included. Please review necessary sections with your child, particularly information related to safety issues.

On behalf of the Wheatland staff, I invite you to participate fully in our school. Together, we can take advantage of our rich opportunities and meaningful history to carry on the tradition of being a child-centered school community.
